Snow girls and boys

I failed to post on the first official snowfall of Winter. That’s okay because I was out enjoying that actual snowfall, instead of sitting here writing about it. Action is sometimes more important than reflection.  Why write about it when you can experience it?

When we woke up Saturday morning, Gorilla Girl wanted to get into the snow immediately, and she oh’d and ah’d over the covering of white outside our bedroom window.

She did get her chance and this snowman snowgirl is the result.  We also made a penguin, at Monkey Man’s request. Monkey Man and Gorilla Girl slid and bopped in snow pants and boots, made snow angels (androgyny at last), threw a few snowballs and thoroughly enjoyed the crispness and coolness of that first snow.
