About “Necessity”

I am never really sure what to write in these sections since my blog does the telling. At least it reveals the most relevant stuff for any readers. This is why I have taken so long to complete the “about” section.

I teach, write, run, take care of my kids, visit my house in Michigan, live in Chicago, and read, oh and lately, I cook often and with a view to sharing both the food and the stories.  Not in this order, rather in a random assortment.

I am interested in learning and thinking about the complexities of adoption, domestic and international, and want to know what other folks have experienced.

You might be interested in connecting with my friend, Laraine, who is a birth and adoptive mom. Her blog is fourunderfive.wordpress.com.

I’m surprised that Laraine has time to do much of anything, let alone blog, when she has four under the age of five 🙂

  2. Thanks, I looked up her blog and will follow — and connect.

  3. Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed! I loved your post about blueberries and homecoming. We just moved to Sicily and I lamented the lack of blueberries this weekend. Your lead picture so reminded me of weekends at home when my mom often baked fresh blueberry muffins. Yum!
